We have a very well equipped laboratory at Walnut Tree that enables us to analyse blood and urine samples rapidly. Some of our branch surgeries also have analysers to perform certain blood tests on site.
Our VetTest analyser can perform biochemistry and endocrine testing in minutes. It can be used to assess kidney, liver and protein disorders as well as thyroid and adrenal hormone diseases. We can now also test for pancreatitis.
We also have a Lasercyte analyser that performs haematology testing. This machine can give us accurate results regarding anaemias and white blood cell problems. It is one of the most advanced haematology analysers used in veterinary practices. We are also permitted to use an analyser owned by Vets Now to assess blood clotting disorders within minutes. This can be vital when we see animals that are bleeding for no apparent reason.
Our laboratory also houses a microscope to assess blood, urine, skin and tissue samples if necessary.
