SPRING/SUMMER 2008

New Veterinary Surgeons

We are pleased to announce the arrival of our new veterinary surgeons Hannah Flatt and Nadine Anderson who both started in April.  Hannah qualified from the Royal Veterinary College last year and has a keen interest in medical and skin cases.  We are sure that she will become extremely popular with our clients.

Nadine will be working on Saturday mornings at our Walnut Tree clinic.

Another new veterinary surgeon, Doug Brain, will be starting with us in the summer.

Stoke Road Renovations

Anyone who has driven passed our Stoke Road surgery will have noticed building work starting.  The surgery is still OPEN AS USUAL whilst the roof is restored to a fully thatched roof.  Once completed, the surgery will be restored to it's original appearance having only had a metal roof visible for over ten years!

Retirement of Veterinary Surgeons

In addition to this, Graham Richmond recently decided to reduce his workload.  Graham will now be working on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays only.

Night & Weekend Service

Milton Keynes Veterinary Group has recently decided to allow an independent veterinary company "Vets Now" to set up an emergency clinic in Milton Keynes to provide emergency cover for animals in our area.  They will treat animals after 7 pm during the week until 8 am the following morning and from 12 pm Saturday until 8 am Monday morning.  Vets Now specialise in employing staff dedicated to treating animals in need of emergency care.  Like ourselves previously, they will continue to offer FREE telephone advice if required.

Please be aware that consultations and treatment performed out of normal working hours can be expensive.

Vets Now will commence the service from Monday October 29th.  The service will be run from our Hospital at Walnut Tree.  They will see animals requiring attention out of our normal working hours and will be responsible for looking after our in-patients whilst they are on the premises.  They will charge clients separately from us for any care/services they provide.  Please see their website for more details:

Vets Now can be used by our clients and by clients of other practices who have joined up with them.
