direction of a Veterinary Surgeon.
Strict guidelines are in place to ensure that only animals that need specific medication receive the treatments. Inappropriate use of medicines such as antibiotics can lead to serious problems including infections that have become resistant to antibiotics. MRSA makes the headlines but there are many more infections that have become resistant to antibiotics.
We will only supply repeat
prescriptions to animals requiring ongoing treatment for a specific condition
for a period of up to THREE MONTHS without the animal needing to see a
Veterinary Surgeon for a check-up. Occasionally we may be able to increase
this period but it is very much determined by the actual condition, treatment
required and the authority of the Veterinary Surgeon in charge of the case.
We ask owners to request repeat prescriptions at least 24 hours before the
medicine is required. This is because the request must be authorised by a
veterinary surgeon first and the request may be declined.
At one end of the pharmacy is the food store area and main corridor. We stock a variety of different foods suitable for a number of medical conditions. We do not have the space to store all of the food required but are able to order most foods for delivery within a couple of days. If you need a specific diet for your pet please telephone us in advance so that we can ensure it is in stock and put it aside for your collection.

On the way along the corridor you will first come across the
Isolation kennels on your left hand side. Click on this door to enter isolation!
To the right is a small store area used for some deliveries/collections.
Next comes a door on the left which leads to flats for the emergency veterinary team.
