We just want to thank them all and their humans for doing such a wonderful thing.
We have our amazing doggy donors who regularly donate to the Pet Blood Bank and also some fantastic feline donors who are always there when we need them!
The Pet Blood Bank made this lovely video from clips sent by owners of their wonderful doggy donors.
We would love to see pictures or videos of your happy heroes.
Happy World Blood Donor Day Everyone – You are amazing.
These may look like regular dogs… | World Blood Donor Day 2020
Happy World Blood Donor Day! 🩸 Today we’re celebrating World Blood Donor Day by saying a huge thank you to all of you and your wonderful dogs who donate blood! 🐶 You really do make such a huge difference. These are just some of the fantastic dogs who donate. They may look like regular dogs, running around and enjoying life, but these dogs have also helped to save lives 👏Could your dog be a lifesaver too? We are particularly appealing to certain breeds of dog who are more likely to have negative blood type to come forward as donors to help us. These breeds include Airedale Terriers, American Bulldogs, Border Collies, Boxers, Dobermans, Dogue de Bordeaux, English Bull Terriers, Flat Coated Retrievers, German Shepherds, Greyhounds, Lurchers, Old English Sheepdogs, Pointers, and Weimaraners. Dogs also need to weigh over 25kg, be between 1 and 8 years old, and be fit and healthy. To find our more and register your dog as a lifesaver, please visit our website www.petbloodbankuk.org. We’d also be so grateful if you shared this post to help us spread the word. Thank you ❤️Posted by Pet Blood Bank UK on Friday, 12 June 2020
